The National Insulation Association is an organization representing the mechanical and specialty insulation industry. General Insulation has been a member of the NIA since 2008.

One of the programs the NIA provides to its members is the opportunity to become a Certified Insulation Energy Appraiser. The individual must meet certain industry specifications, attend a rigorous and intensive training course, and successfully pass a certification examination to be a Certified Insulation Energy Appraiser. As an Appraiser, the individual has the proper skills to evaluate the thermal performance of different insulation systems, as defined by the NIA, in a number of different facilities.
