MEET GENELL GORMAN – GIC’s SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

News

Genell grew up in southern New Hampshire and graduated from Salem, NH high school in 2011. After high school, Genell attended Middlesex Community College and eventually graduated with a liberal arts degree in 2014.

Genell began her career by building a business around her lifelong passion for health and fitness. This passion, combined with her inherent desire to help others, motivated her to found Toned N’ Fit, an online fitness business, in 2014. Genell developed Toned N’ Fit from the ground up by designing a website and using social media to cultivate an online presence. Genell’s hard work and persistence paid off as she grew her online footprint to over 14,000 (that’s with Facebook and Instagram combined) followers in only a few short months.

In 2015, while continuing to manage her online fitness company, Genell accepted a Senior Sales Coordinator position for Pulsar Alarms in Plaistow, NH. While achieving the distinction of #1 sales associate in 2015 and 2016, Genell also streamlined and maintained Pulsar’s social media accounts which resulted in more leads and ultimately more customers for the company.

As if managing your own business and working full-time as a sales associate were not enough, Genell turned her passion for helping others into an Emergency Medical Technician position (EMT) with PrideStar EMS (Lowell, MA) in 2015. Although no longer an EMT, Genell continues to maintain her EMT certifications while working at GIC.

Genell accepted the Social Media Coordinator position with General Insulation in February 2019. She embraced the challenge of growing GIC’s online presence on all of the well-known social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc) to give GIC the necessary exposure it needs to grow through referrals as well as awareness.

Social media is constantly evolving and Genell believes that discovering new platforms and advanced applications will keep General Insulation ahead of the constantly evolving social media and technology trends to generate more exposure and awareness, eventually leading to a larger customer base and growth opportunities.

In her free time, Genell likes to build websites, keeps abreast of new social media trends and everyday technology changes, and dabble in local real estate. Genell also loves to travel and recently vacationed in Thailand where she indulged her inner foodie. Please welcome Genell Gorman to the GIC family!
